FAQ for Drivers

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid Canadian driver’s license
  • Own or have access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle
  • Provide valid vehicle registration and insurance


  • Download the ZuzuRide app or visit our website.
  • Create a driver account with your name, email, and basic vehicle info.
  • Get verified by uploading a selfie with your Driver License.
  • Once approved, you can start posting rides and earning money.


After each ride, both drivers and passengers leave a rating out of 5 stars and can add optional written feedback. Your average rating helps other users trust your profile and influences how often your rides get booked.


  • Tap “Post a Ride” in the app.
  • Enter your departure/arrival cities, time, date, and route.
  • Set your price per seat and number of available seats.
  • Add optional notes.
  • Publish — passengers can now book instantly.


  • During signup, you’ll be directed to a secure Stripe onboarding page.
  • Enter your full name, date of birth, and upload a photo ID.
  • Add your bank account details for payouts.
  • Stripe will notify you once your account is verified.
  • You can update or access your details anytime through your Stripe dashboard.


You get paid after each completed ride. Stripe transfers your earnings directly to your bank account. The first payout can take 7–14 days. After that, payouts typically take 2 business days.


To receive payouts as a ZuzuRide driver, you must complete a one-time verification process using Stripe — our trusted payment partner. It’s fast, secure, and only takes a few minutes.


What you will need: 

  • Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport)
  • Legal name and address
  • Bank account information (for direct deposit)
  • Vehicle details (entered in your ZuzuRide profile)


Steps to Verify: 

1. Tap “Set Up Payouts” in your Driver Dashboard
Redirects you to Stripe’s secure onboarding page.


2. Enter Your Personal Info
Legal name, date of birth, home address, etc.


3. Upload Your Photo ID
Make sure it’s clear and valid.


4. Add Your Bank Account Info
Enter your account and transit numbers for payouts.


5. Submit and Return to ZuzuRide
Stripe will confirm when you're verified and bring you back to the app.


How long it takes: 

  • Setup: 3–5 minutes
  • First approval: 1–2 business days
  • Payouts after that: usually 2 business days after each ride


Security: 

Your data is handled directly by Stripe. ZuzuRide does not store your banking or ID details.


Tip: 

If you need to update your info, visit “Payment Settings” in your profile or follow the link in your Stripe confirmation email.


No minimum. Once a ride is complete, earnings are queued for payout.

After each trip, drivers and passengers rate each other. Ratings help build trust in the community and impact your visibility on the platform.


Yes — you're in control of who you accept. You can decline bookings, but frequent cancellations may affect your account.


Trust your instincts. If you ever feel unsafe, cancel the trip and report the issue through the app or support. We’ll investigate and take appropriate action.

For payment or conduct-related disputes, ZuzuRide reviews all available trip details, messages, and account histories. We aim to resolve issues fairly and promptly.


We understand that emergencies happen, but frequent last-minute cancellations can negatively impact passenger trust. If you cancel:


  • More than 12 hours before the trip: No penalty.
  • Less than 12 hours before: Your reliability rating may be affected, and passengers will be notified automatically.
  • Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in a temporary suspension from posting rides.

Tip: Cancel as early as possible to give passengers time to rebook.


  1. Wait at least 10–15 minutes at the agreed pickup location.
  2. Try contacting the passenger via in-app chat or phone.
  3. If there's no response or they don’t arrive, mark them as a "No-show" in the app.

This helps us track repeat no-shows and apply appropriate penalties.


Yes — in some cases.
If a passenger fails to show up without canceling, and you’ve waited the appropriate time and followed the steps:


  • You may be eligible for partial or full compensation, depending on your local policy and trip type.
  • ZuzuRide reviews no-shows on a case-by-case basis and protects drivers from repeated unpaid incidents.


  • If they cancel early, the seat becomes available again
  • If they cancel last-minute or don’t show, you may be eligible for a partial payment or credit depending on the cancellation policy

Yes — Stripe provides a year-end summary of your payouts. You can access it via your Stripe dashboard.

No — you are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes. Stripe does not withhold taxes.


  • Check your Stripe dashboard to confirm payout status.
  • Confirm your bank details are correct.
  • Contact ZuzuRide support if the payout is still missing after 2 business days.


  • Make sure your photo ID is not blurry or expired.
  • Ensure the name on your ID matches your Stripe profile.
  • Retry the onboarding process or contact support if the issue persists.
